Championship Jackets

Championship JacketThere is nothing like being serenaded by Queen’s “We are the champions” while walking off the field in victory.  Now, personally I have never experienced it, but I am certain it’s a life-changer.  If you just won a professional championship like the World Series, or the Super bowl, you can barely complete your high fives before some random person is covering you in pre-printed championship tee shirts and hats- which seems a little ridiculous considering that you are about 60 seconds from getting covered in Champagne.  For the rest of us, the highly coveted championship jacket will have to do.  Championship jackets can make even the toughest linebacker a little misty-eyed, and here is my theory.  Any team that has the wherewithal to increase their level of play and intensity throughout the season and keep that momentum going through the post-season has something really special going.  Whether it’s inspirational coaching, or exceptional team chemistry, there has to be something special about a team to win the championship.

Championship JacketThere are many ways to celebrate a championship, but the most lasting is a championship jacket.  If you give your team championship jackets to commemorate a winning season, you are really giving them some history to hang on to.  Not to be cheesy, but a championship jacket is one of those things that people would never throw away- so it tends to stay in a family for a long time.  First the kids wear it, then they graduate and you’ll see their parents wearing it.  It’s a nice way to commemorate the success of the program, not to mention that championship jackets are extremely warm and durable. 

Options

Holloway and Game both make championship jackets in a vast array of color combinations.  Championship jackets come in all wool, wool/leather, and wool/vinyl varieties.  The trend definitely favors the wool/vinyl varieties right now with such tight school budgets, and because it’s so difficult to tell the difference between the leather and vinyl sleeves anyway.  Some of our manufacturers have jackets that they can ship immediately which Ampro can decorate with chenille letters and embroidery in-house, but some of these jackets have a fairly long lead time (four to six weeks in some cases) so be sure to let us know when you plan to distribute the championship jackets, and we’ll present you with suitable options that will arrive in time.  While the jackets are in transit to Ampro, we’ll utilize that time to work out the embroidery details and get the chenille letters ready to go so as soon as the championship jackets arrive we can sew the letters on immediately.  Championship jackets are a great tradition in high school and collegiate sports.  Even if your organization isn’t in a position to provide super high-end jackets to your team, I’m sure we can find a championship jacket that will suit your budget and thrill your players.
