Golf Polo Shirts

Golf Polo ShirtRed is the color for golf shirts on Sunday.  At this point, everyone knows that.  Nothing intimidates like Red for your custom golf shirts.  Other than wreaking havoc on his opponent’s mental game, Tiger also wears comfortable, performance fabrics on the golf course every day.  ClimaCool (by Adidas), CoolMax (by Dupont), Dri-Fit (by Nike), PlayDry (by Reebok) and HeatGear (by Under Armour) are all excellent performance fabrics available in golf shirts.  With the advent of these special fabrics, many of the major players in the apparel industry are using body mapping to design the construction of their performance apparel.  They may put lighter fabrics into the underarm areas and down the back to improve moisture management.  Choose one of these custom polos to put your logo on, and you’ve got the best of the best.

Perfect Fit

What else matters in true golf shirts?  Swing versus cling.  You’ll need your custom golf shirt to swing with you… not cling to you.  When you loosen up and start lining up your shot, do you find yourself pulling up your sleeves?  Bad swing!  And, we’re not talking about your swing, we’re talking about the swing in your golf shirt.  There are two basic cuts in polo shirts, fashion-cut and golf-cut.  Golf-cut polos have generous proportions.  They are long enough to be tucked in, loose enough to promote good movement, and the arms often have no rib so they are open and loose.  It’s important to check the sizing of these golf shirts, though, because some may find they size up slightly smaller in a golf cut polo shirt than in one with a fashion fit.  Fashion polos are often tighter with good stretch properties, and they have shorter arms so you can “show off your guns.”  If you choose a fashion-cut golf shirt with shorter sleeves, be sure to embroider the sleeve, as it will definitely be a focal point on the garment.

Good, Better, Best

Golf outings are a huge opportunity for networking and showing appreciation to clients and supporters.  To put together shirts for a golf outing, you generally have good, better and best options.  If your outing is meant to cater to an elite crowd, you can give away a “better” polo shirt and use a few “best” polos as prizes.  Callaway, Cutter & Buck, Ping and Ashworth are four of the best polo brands on the market.  Even within those brands they usually have a few tiers of quality.  Our favorite “better” golf shirts are made by Ultra Club, Devon & Jones and Chestnut Hill.  When you design the logo for your giveaway golf shirt, be sure to make it subtle and attractive so people will actually wear them.  It’s great to broadcast on an apparel item, but golfers are especially sensitive to the decorating on their custom golf shirts, so keep that in mind in your planning.  Embroidered golf shirts are always well-received by guests, and we have a ton of options to get you into your target price.
