Soccer T Shirts
You open the dryer up, pull out your favorite soccer t shirt, and for the millionth time, you have to peel the #1 and #4 apart from each other. They are like soul mates. You wash the jersey, dry it, and inevitably you have to peel those two numbers apart from each other so you can throw it on. The price is comparable, and the quality is better. Film numbers are definitely faster, so if you have a need for speed, request film. But, if you plan ahead, go for the direct print numbers on your soccer t shirts.
Tailgating T Shirts
I recently experienced true school spirit at a soccer game at West Chester East. My sister and I walked in, snuck to the top of the bleachers, and sat for the last few minutes of the JV game. There was some silliness happening out in the parking lot, and when we turned around we were shocked to see kids “tailgating” this soccer game in the parking lot in sombreros and their own version of a custom soccer t shirt. As the varsity game was about to begin, they filed into a small section of the bleachers (where I would’ve sat 10 years ago) in full game regalia; soccer t shirts that they had hand-painted to look like the player’s uniforms, and, of course, their sombreros. At every corner kick and goal, they went crazy cheering and ringing their cowbell. It was hilarious. I love their dedication, but I was tempted to run down and give these kids my business card. Hand painted soccer t shirts? Come on, East. I can get your fans hooked up in proper gear so you look right for the big games against Henderson.
Hook Them Up!
The fans deserve diversity of choice in their supporting soccer t shirts. Give them a longsleeve t shirt option for late October games, and possibly even a hoody.
