Sports T Shirts

Sports T ShirtSports T shirts are an integral part of every wardrobe.  Personally, I don’t care if you wear a suit to work every day- as long as when you come home you change into your favorite sports T shirt.  Moms may complain about the state of your favorite team’s T shirt, but don’t let her throw it out!  Holes and tears should be worn as badges of honor.  As long as your Navy blue sports T shirt hasn’t faded out so much that it looks like some other team’s colors, you are cleared to wear that shirt into oblivion.  In fact, the next time you are putting together an order for sports T shirts, be sure to get a 50/50 cotton/polyester blend to assure that the color doesn’t fade even after its 10th year in your T shirt rotation.  Viva la T shirt!

Formula for a Perfect T Shirt

To design a sports T shirt that is destined to be a favorite, here are the rules; first, color is everything.  Choose a shirt color that cannot be mistaken for any other team- make it your own.  Gildan Activewear has over 63 colors to choose from.  If your team color is Cardinal- don’t choose Red, or Maroon, or Cedar- choose Cardinal.  Then, pick the perfect print color.  All printers use a color matching standard from a company called Pantone.  Silk-screen printers use their “Solid Coated” matching system.  We call them PMS colors (Pantone Matching System).  Bring in your uniform, and we’ll match it to our Pantone Matching system so your print colors are identical to the contrast colors in your uniform.  The last choice you need is your sports T shirt design.  Some of our Ampro favorites are below, but these are just to give you some ideas.  There are hundreds of possibilities for your sports T shirt design layout, so put us to the test.  Our designers are second to none, and they have a ton of experience to make your idea look appropriately sporty. 

Preemptive Measures

Finally, consider everyone that may want one of your sports T shirts.  Some parents may want something similar to their player’s T shirt, and some friends and fans may want one as well.  If you want to keep your sports T shirt design only to your team, then make a similar spin-off design to sell at events that is similar, but still differentiates the players from the fans.  It’s definitely good to plan for your fans in advance, so the team leaders can dictate what the sports T shirts look like, and what their message is.  Once your fans take it into their own hands, you may find that what they are wearing on the sideline is either not appropriate, or it may not fit with the principles of your team.  Lean on your Ampro team specialist for advice and ideas, and you are certain to put a successful sports T shirt program together!
