Custom Uniforms
At Ampro, we believe your custom uniform order should be taken in person. With all the variations of trim and color, it’s our job to make sure that everything you want on your uniform is absolutely correct and in harmony with your league regulations. There are many variations of “custom uniforms” within the sports market. If you plan far enough in advance, you can put together a complete custom uniform with the unmistakable look of your school from top to bottom. There are early order discounts, and plenty of incentives to help cover the costs of creating a uniform unique to your team. 
The New “Stock” Uniform
All the major brands are making major strides in their “stock” uniforms because they know how we all rely on the flexibility and speed of our suppliers. Now there are fantastic stock uniforms in every color combination imaginable. If you are used to supplying your team with custom uniforms, and you are accustomed to the lead times, by all means, stay with what you have done in the past. Custom uniforms are definitely the cream of the crop. If the responsibility to supply uniforms was just thrown into your lap at the last minute, it may be wise to entertain a stock uniform, and lean on your Ampro team specialist to suggest ways to decorate it to make it your own.
Timing is Everything
For top of the line custom uniforms, Ampro generally looks to Speedline, Wilson and Russell Athletic. The early-order discounts vary by season, but they are generally 3-4 months prior to the start of the season. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to start working on next years’ custom uniforms about 6 months prior to the season, that way you don’t have to deal with it when you are getting started with preseason. Since Ampro is one of the largest screen-printing operations on the East Coast, we have the capabilities to print, embroider and number your uniforms in house if we need to. That level of flexibility can be instrumental when the season is nearing and you need to fill-in with one uniform.
